Coplus Team take on Brave the Shave 2019

Here at Coplus we love a charity fundraiser, and this month will be no exception – on Friday 23 August, Gary, Lee and Ryan from our claims team will be shaving their heads in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support.

Brave the Shave started in 2015 and has raised over £22.7 million to date. The money raised by Macmillan provides invaluable support to those suffering with cancer, from a wealth of online resources, to a helpline which operates for 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Macmillan are there to offer support and guidance when people need them most.

Gary, Lee and Ryan each have a personal reason for supporting this cause having lost friends and loved ones to the illness or watching those close to them battle through. You can read their stories and donate here.

There are around 363,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year, and an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. Sadly cancer is still one of the biggest causes of death in the UK (164,000 every year) accounting for over a quarter of all deaths in the UK.

Macmillan offer help in many ways to cancer suffers and their families and Brave the Shave is a major part of their fundraising effort.

On B-Day (Brave the Shave Day) there will also be a bake sale to add even more to the guys fundraising.
