Home Excess Protection
One less cost to worry about when something goes wrong at home
Home Excess Protection works alongside a customer's home insurance policy to cover the cost of the excess if they need to make a claim. It's suitable for homeowners and tenants alike, and can even give customers the confidence to raise their voluntary excess and potentially lower their premium.
Protect Customers From the Cost of Their Excess
When a customer claims on their home insurance, they still have to pay the excess before the rest of the claim is settled, whether that excess is voluntary or set by the insurer. Home Excess Protection reimburses that cost, so a claim doesn't leave the customer out of pocket on top of everything else.
-
Any Number of Claims
Customers can claim as many times as they need to within their policy year, provided the total paid out doesn't exceed their limit of cover.
-
Covers All Incidents
Cover applies to any settled claim under the customer's home insurance policy, rather than being limited to specific causes of damage.
-
Homeowner or Tenant
The product is suitable for people renting a property as well as homeowners, so it works across a wide range of customer circumstances.
-
Excess Reimbursed Up to the Limit
Customers are reimbursed either the full value of their excess or their selected limit of cover, whichever is lower.
