Motor Excess Protection

Turn excess risk into a value add that keeps customers coming back

Motor Excess Protection reimburses the excess your customers pay when they make a claim, across cars, taxis, commercial vehicles, and more. One simple product, one less cost for your customers to worry about, and a retention-driving add-on for your proposition.

Protect Customers From the Cost of Their Excess

When a customer claims on their motor policy, they still have to pay the excess, sometimes a significant amount, before their insurer settles the rest. Motor Excess Protection covers that cost, reimbursing the excess paid up to the limit selected, so a claim doesn't leave the customer out of pocket on top of everything else. With excess protection in place, customers can choose to raise the excess on their main policy, potentially lowering their premium, while still knowing they're covered if they need to claim.

  • Any Number of Claims

Customers can claim as many times as they need to within their policy year, provided the total paid out doesn't exceed their limit of cover.

  • All Common Incident Types Covered

Excess is reimbursed on claims for accidental damage, fire, flood, theft, and attempted theft, so customers are covered whatever the circumstances of their claim.

  • Excess Paid in Full, Up to the Limit

Customers are reimbursed either the full value of their excess or their selected limit of cover, whichever is lower.

  • Fits Alongside Any Motor Policy

This is a standalone policy that works alongside the customer's existing motor insurance, whoever they're insured with, with no changes needed to their main policy.
